We got freedom because Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose army & their alliance with the Germans had the Brit govt mighty worried. Besides after the devastation of WW2 they did not have the resources to divert to Indian sub-continent to subdued the so called 'militant' uprisings .. thanks to Bose. It looks like your limited knowledge of contemporary Indian history is restricted to what was taught in school books - after all we have had 60 plus years of Congress miss rule.

    Hey guyz....relax.....just as journos get an off on 2nd oct liquor stores also get an off on that day......however, those of us who wanna drink usually stock up. For those who do not drink, they usually stock up on BS which comes out through their comments on FB.
